Perseverance Mills
Huddersfield is an up-and-coming town, well-favoured by businesses who want to benefit from its strategic position in the north of England and its scenery.
HISTORY
There’s a plaque above the door that reads: Perseverance Mill erected 1831 and used at first as a flour mill.
In 1842, Perseverance Mill was the scene of some of the skirmishes into the nationwide ‘Plug Plot Riots’, when workers and Chartists complained about newly installed boilers and tried to pull out the drain plugs. They were met by the Hussars, Lancers and Infantry, leading to clashes in the area.
Perseverance Mill is Grade II listed.
PERSEVERANCE MILL TODAY
Perseverance Mill was bought by the Lowry Partnership in 2007. These newly refurbished units are located off the main Huddersfield to Meltham road, offering great access to motorways serving the rest of the country.
The Mill’s location gives it a distinct advantage and its a great location for new-start-ups or established businesses looking to upscale their premises.
