Grosvenor Mills in Ashton-under-Lyne is a three-storey, 55,000 sq ft site with superb motorway links.
HISTORY
Grosvenor Mills began life in 1891 as a five-storey mill building at the side of Ashton Canal with more than 30,000 mule spindles. Its Tameside location was prime for the work of the Industrial Revolution.
GROSVENOR MILLS TODAY
Grosvenor Mills in Ashton-under-Lyne is located between Oldham and Stockport to the north and south and Manchester and the Peak District National Park to the west and east. It is five minutes from Junction 23 of the M60 motorway with road links to Stockport and Manchester Airport, as well as the M56, M62 and M6 motorways.
The mill originally had five storeys, but two were taken down sometime in the 1990s.
The Lowry Partnership purchased Grosvenor Mills in 2021 and undertook a refurbishment programme. It is a flexible space that can be used as offices, gyms and studios.
