Bath Mills

Bath Mills

A former textile mill in the heart of Huddersfield. Now home to several exciting businesses.

An extra 20,000 sqft available from March 1, 2024

Bath Mills is a 90,000 sqft space in the middle of Huddersfield, a town well-favoured by businesses who want to benefit from its strategic position in the north of England. It’s a site still packed with its original features.

HISTORY

Bath Mills was built in 1890 by William Cocking. A contemporary directory in 1937 shows it being occupied by yarn spinners Allen Priest & Sons. We’ve found an advertisement from the 1950s.

The name derives from the nearby Lockwood Spa Baths, which opened on May 1, 1827, at a time when Lockwood was a rural area. The area became more urban, and mills moved in, including this one located next to the Spa Baths.

Until recently, the mill was occupied by a Christmas decoration manufacturer.

BATH MILLS TODAY

The Lowry Group purchased the mill in 2018 from the Christmas decorations manufacturer as an empty building. Following major repairs to the roof, the premises were split into smaller units.

This lovely mixed-use development is replete with its original features.

It’s an ideal location for businesses looking for well-appointed office spaces and workshops.

  • Central location

  • Goods yard

  • Workshops and offices available

  • Three phases electricity in most units

20,000 sqft will become available on March 1, 2024, and a further 16,000 sqft from June 2024.
